They are destroying or defacing historical works of art that have been part of our landscape for decades and petitioning to get rid of ALL that they don't think deserve a place in American history.

And here you have a Free Palestine vandal destroying a priceless painting.

What should the penalty be for this kind of hateful destruction?

I don't know how "priceless" that thing is.

Not defending this action, but it's worth noting that this is not quite on par with the eco whackos who attack actual high end pieces of art in museums. This is a painting of Lord Balfour, so there's relevance to the particular piece and the aim of their "protest."

Teach them a little art appreciation by locking them in a cell with Hunter's "masterpieces" for a couple of decades.

Speaking of art appreciation, why don't you educate the class on what, if anything, actually makes this particular painting any more relevant than Hunter Biden's paintings.

A simple thing called TALENT.

Really? Are you sure? What exactly indicates that there was any particular talent that went into that painting? I just don't see it.

The reason I talk about this is because it really pisses me off when "activists" attack important works of art. It's cultural warfare, IMO, and it's adjacent to the Taliban blowing up ancient rock sculptures. But I also don't want to cheapen such complaints by overstating the value of every banana taped to a wall.

Put her to work to pay for the damages. She can clean public bathrooms for the rest of her life.

the "priceless" ones tend to be behind glass.

Put him in the stocks and let people throw fruit and vegetables at them.

.

Museums have been smart enough for a long time to place protective glass over important pieces, but yeah, if they manage to damage important art, at least ten years and a hard spanking, like the spoiled children they actually are.

.

If it's 'priceless' and you put it where people can destroy it easily, that fault lies with the moron who allowed it.
I call it 'priceless' when it is an irreplaceable museum piece that is not for sale so no price is placed on it. No one can know its worth until it is appraised for sale.

Well, isn't this being done by the lefty "peaceful protesters"?

Sorry. I normally agree with you but to say that it's your fault that someone destroys your shit is just not something I can buy.

I believe in using reasonable prudence, but not placing accountability on the person doing the crime will never work with me.

so if someone murders you while youre walking down the street its your fault for allowing it by being there??

you may want to rethink your comment,,
Are you an idiot? That's rhetorical. The owner didn't hang it on the street you fucking moron. They put it on a wall and invited anyone who wanted to get near to do exactly that. Talk about need to think before you comment.
