Such as "Buffalo" as in "Buffalo wings." Or "chiptole."

Buffalo wings were originally the hottest category of wings. And chipotle peppers are extremely hot.

Corporate America changed the meaning of those because the words are catchy, and they hook consumers to buying stuff. But they won't buy extremely hot foods. So they made them more mild.
