I knew the "apostrophe" excuse Biden's staffers and the media have been pushing was bullshit. He said what he said, and the White House stenographers are angry that they're trying to gaslight the American public.

This is one more another example of the lack of transparency of the Biden/Harris administration.

White House Aides Changed Official Transcript of Biden's 'Garbage' Remark

"According to an email from the head of the White House stenographer's office reviewed by AP, however, the apostrophe was added after members of the White House press team "conferred with the president."

The supervisor wrote in the email that the change was "a breach of protocol and spoilation of transcript integrity between the Stenography and Press Offices," per AP's report. Two government officials also confirmed the authenticity of the email.

The email read that if "there is a difference in interpretation, the Press Office may choose to withhold the transcript but cannot edit it independently ... Our Stenography Office transcript—released to our distro, which includes the National Archives—is now different than the version edited and released to the public by Press Office staff."

LOL. No, tell me they wouldn't do that. Of course they would.

People getting all excited over an apostrophe change.

That is all they got ?

You know that the transcript is written after the words are spoken

So he gives a speech and it is transcribed.

maybe the person who transcribed it , forgot to add the apostrophe?

I guess they also forgot they can't edit the transcript.

Yet they did but I like to see the law on this.

The question is does it break any laws

or is it just a matter of

A stenography supervisor wrote in an email to the press office that the edit was “a breach of protocol and spoliation of transcript integrity between the Stenography and Press Offices,”

that it

they don't match because of the " " marks.

So the beef is because it was changed it does not match what they submitted to the press office and the Stenography office

Because the quotation marks does not match the original they submitted.

"Transcript integrity and breach of protocol" is what they claim

Protocol - the original draft of a diplomatic document,

So they added quotation marks

Stenography is all upset because it does not match what they submitted because of the quotation marks

Nobody has quoted any law that was broken

It just etiquette and we done it this way forever.

It doesn't really matter anyway.

Everyone has heard what *biden said.

They can try to cover it up if they wish, it only makes it worse and keeps it at the forefront longer.

No
That's not it.

Yes it is. They are mad because the stenographer office was not notified.

It makes them look bad

Yet the white house can request a change of something. They are just mad because they just did it without telling them.

After all it is just quotation marks and it is a transcript of someone speaking.

There is no law being broken

The white house can request a change and they would make the change if reasonable.

It completely changes the message.

The transcript released by the White House press office, however, rendered the quote with an apostrophe, reading “supporter’s” rather than “supporters,” which aides said pointed to Biden criticizing Hinchcliffe, not the millions of Americans who are supporting Trump for president.

Thus it just address Hinchcliffe. The transcriber made it sound like he was talking about a lot of people. Yet it was only the comedian who made the racist remark. It was not other people

Yet for political purposes , republicans want to use it as it refers to all of them.

The stenographer office got it wrong

He was criticizing the comedian

If he was talking about all republicans then that is a clear statement. Republican , blah, blah , blah

It was the comedian who made the remark

Since this was a transcript made by someone else

The stenographer hears the words but may not understand where the correct punctuation should be made.

Biden was talking about the comedian who was making the comments.

As I said there is no law being broken

The white house corrected an error

The stenographer office has a job and now it makes them look bad.

Yet the proper procedure here would be to notify the stenographer office and have them make the change in their records. Thus both records would match.

That is well the failure exist. The stenographer office is just pissed because it makes them look bad.

My guess the stenographer office has a few republicans.

Still it was the comic who made the comment. If republicans cannot see that then yeah it is an election year.

It's so silly for them to make that alteration, when Biden's plain words have been known for days.
unfortunately republicans supporters of Trump do not listen to Biden's plain words.

Was it not the next day that Trump was claiming that Biden was insulting his supporters.

Trump flip the script to a crowd that would believe his version.

Was is it wrong to make a slight change in the transcript when a transcript is just an interpretation by someone trying to write it down in written words.

Is it strange that a simple placement of a possessive comma changes the whole meaning.

was it done on purpose by the person transcribing the document who is trained in transcribing words.

By making one minor change by the stenographer she gave Trump ammo to use in the week before the election.

Thanks that make you go hmmmm
