but doesn't that risk the fallacy of conflating the term "Arab" with something called "Palestinian"?

There's always been Palestinian Arabs... Like Saudi Arabs or Kuwaiti Arabs..

They are the Christians, Muslims and Jews who have lived there for thousands of years... Long before Islam or the birth of Christ.

There's always been Palestinian Arabs... Like Saudi Arabs or Kuwaiti Arabs..

They are the Christians, Muslims and Jews who have lived there for thousands of years... Long before Islam or the birth of Christ.

Calling them that creates the misimpression that there was a place called "Palestine" which lent its name to a distinct subsection of Arabs. Note that both "Saudi" and "Kuwaiti" indicate "from the country of".
