Four days. Three States. Only 11 miles closer to home.
UPS - I would have received the package yesterday instead of now 3 days later.
UPS - 2 days
FedEx - 6 days

The Post Office is stunningly bad now, it has been this way in the past 2-3 years. It is to a point where many companies, including our own are working to switch all A/R to electronic only. Which actually complicates things, but mailed checks are getting lost and delayed everywhere so often that we are having to do it.
Now - I have worked with the Post Office for over 30 years as a printer/news media - the 2 biggest changes are they went from way-way too top heavy - too many administrators/managers and not enough workers - to now low on both. Working for the Post Office use to be a very good blue collar job with GREAT benefits. Today - they can't get help worth a nickel like everyone else as our youth today, literally do not feel like they should have to work hard.

You see double tandem Fed-Ex trucks all over the interstate. It's hard to understand how they had a problem with a package and 100 miles. It beats the USPO anyway.

im sorry as a carrier for 33 years i think you are full of shit with the dont have to work hard bit....when you put up route and then have to pull it down load up the truck get out there and deliver it in "8" hours which very seldom happens you are working hard especially at christmas and election time.....and throw in bad weather, yea loads of easy fun...

Amazon has a great delivery system in place.
As long as you have a door camera, yes.
The list of complaints about the drivers themselves stealing the packages, throwing the packages is loooong.
UPS is simply the best, and there is no comparison.

lots of union workers are half assed workers, just because a company is union doesnt mean they are better..management has a lot to do with how good the company is...
Maybe, sometimes, but not in this case, and we are not talking about other companies, are we?

We are talking about UPS and FedEx. Can you stay on topic for a change?

I don't agree, the Post Office serves the entire country, there will be some offices worse than others, the majority do an exceptional job daily.

lots of it depends on how good the offices management is...a lousy station manager can make the office look bad...and there lots of bad managers in the PO,especially the middle managers....horrible people... all out for themselves....
