An Upstate, South Carolina, 19-year-old has been accused of threatening to assassinate U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace.

On Thursday, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said agents charged Samuel Theodore Cain, of Greenville, with threatening the life of a public official.


According to the arrest warrant, on April 26, Cain, aka Roxie Wolfe, posted the following message on X (formerly known as Twitter):

"I'm going to assassinate representative Nancy Mace with a gun and I'm being 100% dead ass."

According to SLED, Cain admitted to posting the threat to federal agents on April 30.

SLED said Cain was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center.
