In a recent analysis by Amelia Thomson-DeVeaux, Linley Sanders, and Josh Boak for the Associated Press, Donald Trump emerges as a formidable contender in the Republican primary races, securing significant support among South Carolina Republicans who view him as the most viable candidate for the November election, capable of ensuring national safety and possessing the requisite mental acuity for the presidency. Despite these victories signaling his dominance within the Republican primaries, the broader appeal of Trump among general election voters is yet to be determined.
The AP VoteCast data illustrates that Trump has effectively rallied the GOP's core demographic, predominantly white, over the age of 50, and largely non-college educated, across Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. This demographic starkly contrasts with the more diverse electorate Trump needs to attract in the general election, especially to counter potential shifts towards candidates like former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, whose influence in the primaries has been modest but indicative of potential challenges for Trump.
Furthermore, the data indicates a significant portion of Trump's opposition within the Republican primaries consists of voters who have previously withdrawn their support. This shift, alongside the Republican party's reversal on key policy positions, embracing certain large-scale government initiatives and scaling back international commitments, underscores the evolving dynamics within the party.
The AP VoteCast surveys, conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, encompassed 1,597 Republican caucus-goers in Iowa, 1,989 participants in New Hampshire's Republican primary, and 2,466 voters in South Carolina's Republican primary, offering a comprehensive glimpse into the current state of Republican voter sentiment.
looking for a better life?.....We have a steady supply of Chinese men crossing our border. Wonder why...
You've referenced far too much. Provide some sort of a link to a source before this gets closed down.
Then in November you'll be making up how the election was stolen or some such nonsense when trump doesnt win because a large portion of his own party hates him.I mean, is that all they have? The A.P. has been a source of anti-Trump propaganda for going on 8 freaking years.

..............Trump is winning big with his base, but there’s no sign that he's broadening support
Donald Trump appears close to invincible in the early Republican primaries and caucuses, but his strength among general election voters remains unclear.apnews.com
What in the hell are you babbling about?Obviously that "10% for the Big Guy" was payment for allowing China to dump their undesirables on us.

Lots of words that boil down to "Return to normalcy, America First". What are your issues with that?Further debate on a Trump Presidency: In an investigative exploration of the potential ramifications of a second term for former President Donald Trump, a comprehensive analysis by Politico reveals a sweeping and bold vision that diverges sharply from conventional governance norms. This vision encompasses a wide array of policy areas, from foreign policy and environmental regulation to social issues and trade, suggesting a presidency that could redefine American policy and its global stance.
Foreign Policy and Defense: Trump’s approach to foreign policy, characterized by his controversial stance on NATO and aspirations for unilateral powers reminiscent of dictatorial governance, signals a radical departure from traditional American diplomacy. His willingness to employ military force against Mexican drug cartels and equate the campaign to the fight against ISIS exemplifies an aggressive foreign policy stance. This approach raises significant concerns about escalating tensions and its implications for asylum claims at the U.S.-Mexico border. Moreover, Trump's skepticism towards NATO could undermine the cohesion of this historic alliance and challenge the United States' commitment to collective defense obligations.
Environmental Regulation: On environmental issues, Trump's skepticism towards climate science and intention to challenge federal climate research could significantly alter the direction of agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). His policies, particularly the reversal of measures promoting electric vehicle adoption and the dismantling of federal fuel economy standards, underscore a departure from efforts aimed at combating climate change. This stance not only impacts environmental policy but also could slow the transition to cleaner energy sources, affecting investment in the sector.
Social Issues: The proposed agenda also includes a stringent stance on social issues, including a push for a strict abortion ban and the politicization of the Justice Department. The alignment with Christian nationalism and efforts to intensify cultural battles over education highlight a commitment to deeply conservative values. These efforts aim to limit teachings on race, sexuality, and gender identity in schools, with severe repercussions for educators and institutions that diverge from this prescribed ideology.
Trade and Economic Policies: Trump's aggressive trade policies, particularly towards China, suggest a continuation of tariffs and trade barriers that could escalate global tensions and disrupt trade norms. The proposed 10 percent "universal baseline" tariff on all countries signifies a strategy to bolster domestic industry but also poses risks to American consumers and businesses reliant on imports. This approach, alongside a potential shift towards favorable policies for the cryptocurrency industry, indicates a willingness to explore new economic strategies, albeit with implications for regulatory oversight and consumer protection.
Election Security and Governance: The potential reshaping of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to reflect Trump’s views on online disinformation and election integrity suggests a transformative approach to election security. This shift could have profound implications for the agency's role in safeguarding U.S. networks and infrastructure against threats.
This investigative narrative paints a picture of a presidency that could dramatically reshape American policy and its global posture across a broad spectrum of issues. The proposed policies and ideological shifts suggest a far-reaching and aggressive approach to governance, one that prioritizes deeply conservative values and a departure from established norms. The implications of such a presidency on international relations, environmental policy, trade, social issues, and governance underscore the significance of the potential shifts ahead, inviting further reflection and discourse on the direction of American policy and its global implications.

How would you describe the differences between Biden and Trump and the Democrats and the Republicans from a strictly issues point of view. No ideological beliefs or hypotheticals or party dislikes and likes. Just the issues alone. I mean for instance exactly what are the precise issues and political achievements that Trump stands for and what is he going to try and do about them and what does that mean for all of America and the same with Biden what are his core issues and etc. Bottomline what are there agenda's politically and socially regarding strictly united states policy and governance and nothing else and what is it you like about Trumps and Bidens or dislike about Trumps or Bidens?Lots of words that boil down to "Return to normalcy, America First". Support of Trump by Blacks is infinitesimally small.
That same article from the Times said: "New polls by The New York Times and Siena College found that 22 percent of Black voters in six of the most important battleground states said they would support former President Donald J. Trump in next year’s election, and 71 percent would back Mr. Biden."Indeed .. from the New York Times

There are almost no similarities between the Democratic platform and Trump's. I would not even give Biden credit for having and agenda other than filling his and his family's bank accounts with millions of "pay for access" dollars. How would you describe the differences between Biden and Trump and the Democrats and the Republicans from a strictly issues point of view. He is a good enough businessman to stop the money drain, stop the invasion at our border, and do exactly what he did the last time he was in the WH.Trump is not a good enough politician to broaden his base. He sticks to working his own base, and is dependent on that base to show up at the polls.
