Democrats are begging Joe Biden to do something about high inflation for food. What can Joe legally do to bring prices of food down?

Reducing inflation helps slow the rate of increase in prices but does nothing to bring prices down. So each year's inflation is stacked on top of already unacceptable inflation of previous years.

To bring prices down, Biden needs to rescind the insane spending programs he authorized that is pouring trillions of unproductive dollars into the economy and thus devaluing the dollar so that it takes more of them to buy things we need.

He needs to utilize Trump policies of a secure border, far less regulation that hinders production and makes it more expensive, assurance that the Trump tax policies will be extended instead of revoked next year as he has promised, more incentives for expansion of business and entrepreneurship that increases production and services so that they cost less.

Every Trump policy encouraged the best economy possible. Every Biden policy has been bad for the economy, prolonged the COVID misery and now hampers a healthy economy with affordable products and services for all.
Another way to make life more affordable? To cut the excess waste of the Non Essential personnel working for the federal government. If they arent essential then fire every last one of them, shut down federal buildings that house all that pork, and that would but the spending from 61/2 trillion dollars down to a more manageable 3 trillion dollars, and in 10 years the national debt would be paid off. But that isnt what the Marxists want, they want to destroy the dollar not realizing that if they do, those who destroyed it will have no protection from retribution.

Prices on most things will never come down, they never do. Even if Trump wins, overall prices will not come down.

Besides needing people to leave the workforce earlier than 55. What else can be done to ease inflation,?

Since Biden took office:

Gas: +55.5%
Groceries: +21.3%
Eating out: +21.8%
Baby food: +30%
Pet food: +23.1%
K-12 food: +64.9%
Rent: +20.8%
Electricity: +28.5%
Natural gas: +22%
Used cars: +20.4%
Airfare: +38.2%
Public transportation: +26.1%
Real average weekly earnings: -4.4%

The law of supply and demand control prices in a free market economy. Televisions, cell phones, microwaves, computers etc. all were extremely expensive when they first went on the market, but as technology settled into place and more and more people entered the market, those price dropped so almost everybody could afford them. More supply, cheaper prices.

Sky high prices during the double digit inflation of the Carter Administration and first years of the Reagan Administration moderated considerably when Reagan policies brought double digit inflation and interest rates down to more manageable numbers.

Make it more profitable to grow corn etc. to make ethanol and that reduces the supply for food for humans and animals and the prices go up for both corn and meat. High prices for transportation are figured into pretty much everything we use and prices go up.

A government that meddles and micromanages the least will pretty much consistently improve quality of life for most.

What would that do?

This is a major cause of our problem. Although taking money out of the market now could make inflation worse. Too many dollars chasing too few goods.

It is a simple request, I am not denying anything.

Why do you blindly belive what is fed to you by FoxNews and Tweets?

Do you never question anything that comes from your beloved party?
Playing stupid is not what Democrats DO it's what Democrats ARE.

It opens up more jobs for young people. Our labor force is too full of workers.

Wait, are you saying it is not 100% Biden's fault now?

What we could be doing is not only drill, baby drill, but stop imports from China and put our own people to work, thus making our dollars worth a lot more and have more goods available instead of stuck in some port being shanghied by the port authority. But then, those working people wouldnt need the Marxists/Demofascist party, as we are seeing more and more as they migrate towards the 45th soon to be 47th President of the United States.

Too many people in the workforce drives up inflation.
No, allowing millions of diseased illegals to come into the country, using money given to them by our fucking government, so they can buy up goods that are supposed to be ours, is driving up inflation.

MSN Can you imagine back about 4 years ago, if President Trump dared use an executive action to change the way the country was run? Oh yeah, he did, he closed the borders thus keeping millions of diseased illegals, that need to buy food, from coming in, and my favorite. But then that would mean, that Joe Biden was wrong in attacking the fossil fuel companies.

Take his foot off of the neck of the hydrocarbon industry. Within 6 months which means before the election, all the prices across the nation will come down by 20%.

So, did the monetary supply jumping 49% in 4 months have any impact on the inflation that followed?
Nonsense. You and Harpy Eagle just love lying, don't you? After Dr. Fauci shut down the economy, there was a desperate need to inject money to keep the country from collapsing. The problem comes from President Biden continuing to SPEND unnecessarily. Thus, our ruinous inflation.
