Good easy and different Alfredo sauce...

Had this for dinner... Very good.

Never tried cream cheese in Alfredo sauce before, but I'd have this again anytime.

Subbed in ¾ can of evaporated milk for the heavy cream.

Mandolined Parmesan from a wedge.

Added cooked shrimp and egg noodles.

Quick and delicious.

 
I can see where cream cheese would add some tanginess.
Only problem I have with the recipe is it's nutrition information.
There is no way you are going to get 10 servings out of this.
That would only be 2.8oz each serving. VERY chincy on the sauce.
It is going to be more like 7, or less.
And that puts the fat/calories to the moon.
 
I use cream cheese for alfredo sometimes.
Whipping cream is also good for it. Whip it a bit. I dare ya ;)
