And once again the RWM race hustles its listeners/viewers. And that is the point. lie, create fear and race bait. But it appears that as usual the right is wrong on this issue.

The US's newest immigrants are more likely than native-born Americans to have a college degree

  • The number of foreign-born workers in the US has surged in recent years.
  • Supporters said they've provided the economy a boost — critics have pointed to the border crisis.
  • Recent immigrants typically work in construction or food services and earn less than $40,000 a year.
Nearly three million more Americans are working than they were in January 2020, but the number of US-born workers has barely budged.

That means immigrants, specifically foreign-born workers, are responsible for most of the US job growth of recent years. Foreign-born workers' share of the US workforce rose from 16.8% in January 2020 to 19.3% in March 2024, according to a Business Insider analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics data.

Over 39% of recent immigrants aged 16 or older had a bachelor's or advanced degree, compared to 34% of the US-born population.

The hardest thing to get through to people here. Most are not against IMMIGRATION as the artice says. I'd say most are simply against a disorganized run on the border, for all reasons previously stated, including the fact there is no way to vet people. I'm all for Legal immigration, I dont care which country they are from but people also dont want to see the assylum system abused Which is what is happening. There are about 8 million more Immigrants here (many of thhem unknown and illegal) since 2020, so if 3 million of them are employed, what about the other 5 million?

(from the article)
"Supporters of immigration say these newcomers have provided the US economy a huge boost and not taken Americans' jobs a common argument made by those against immigration."

We need to stop calling what is happening Immigration, Its illegal and an abuse of our system, the negatives outweighing the positive benefits. To be fair, there are some positive benefits, a lot of people are nice and are good workers, but the bad things that come along with that are not by the choice of U.S. citizens.
There is a reason laws and rules are adopted in the first place, and that is to protect the standard of living for citizens.

Nobody is going for this. You all aren't considering legal immigrants when you talk your shit. And asylum seekers are legal. So just stop playing the games you play.

So if YOU don't know who they are that means no one else does either?!?

I think you might be missing the point. When 10,000 immigrants a day appear at the border, there is no where to house them, and with no more remain in MExico policy especially.
Then comes the task of trying to vet who they are and if any have a criminal record. Keep in mind that drug cartels who have billions of dollars at their disposal, would have no problem getting fake ID's or papers for immigrants of their choosing. So in that short amount of time we are allowing people to come through in large groups, with them promising to show up months or years later for hearings. There is no way our agents at the border can sort out people with fake ID's or someone possibly carying someone elses ID,

Also if they are traveling with kids, It has to be verified that those kids belong to them. I don't know but with thousands coming per day and expecting to be let in, this puts a lot of pressure on our verification system. We may see their name on an ID card, but we dont always really know who they are.
Its a fact people with criminal records and people out of prison have been coming across. Under normal circumstances, theres no way thse people would be allowed in .

LEGAL IMMIGRANTS. You know, the people who go through the real process to immigrate. The illegal immigrants and faux asylum seekers bypass the system and are almost exclusively third world illiterate peasants.
