It's apparently working a lot better in the white or less black/Hispanic Chicago neighborhoods. The vast vast vast majority of annual Chicago shooting stats are incidents that take place in the south and westside neighborhoods predominantly populated by blacks and Hispanics. That doesn't mean all members of those groups are bad, they aren't. But enough of them are to cause the carnage they do, so perhaps if more of the good folks legally armed themselves the goof balls will start to think twice about pulling their illegal weapons?

Good point. But as someone pointed out in the "guns for charity" thread, it's quite expensive and time-consuming to take the training, register, and pay for the permit.

How are you supposed to start a dialogue with people that are going around killing people like that? Just let them all sort it out together and whoever ‘wins’ can try to join society…clowns.

You cannot "start a dialogue" with them. They don't know what a dialogue is. They live on the level of existence, food,sex, alcohol, drugs, sex, music. If you start talkiing about long term stability of neighborhoods, their eyes glaze over.

Blacks are over 5 time more likely!
