And there you have Deep State strategy in one simple sentence .

And what is the best way to ensure that Sheeple are mindless?
Feed them Chaos .
It produces Anxiety , Hysteria , Anger and Panic .

Just like you see here every day as a microcosm of full reality .

Why aren't you out protesting today?

Yeah, very important that we know how to sketch Sir Walter Raleigh.

Its hilarious that some think that this would make America more competitive--knowing how to sketch someone and wish to take us back to 1912.

Difficult test but it reflects what they were taught.
When I was in 8th grade, I had beginning Algebra and Geometry…..This is all Arithmetic
Civics and History is just repeating facts.

If college students today did nothing but harvest corn and study for that exact test, most would do ok.

Toss a smart phone to an 8th grader from 1912 and ask him to do anything with it, and he'd just stare at you like a space alien.

On the other hand, in a few years you could both swap stories about wars and pandemics.

Intelligence and wisdom are human traits that are built upon knowledge. Having a smart phone just means kids have the ability to take selfies and watch porn. It doesn’t provide the intelligence and wisdom for making good choices in life.

Repeated facts that build knowledge and wisdom. History is about knowledge so you can try to repeat the good parts and avoid the bad parts.

Not sure why people love to post this exact same thing over and over. "Here's a 2nd grade test from 5 AD. College kids today couldn't pass it! Aren't they stupid?"

It's a huge red flag showing one of the big reasons our society is failing, don't you think?

We're paying our gov't. to educate us, they are failing miserably.

Not sure why we allow this to happen.

:dunno:

These students from 1912 went on to fight WWI.
In 1917, 25 percent of recruits were illiterate

The students who took this test were probably the top of their class who studied the subject matter prior to the exam.

...have the ability to access information. Instantly. That test from 1912 was just about information. Believe it or not, kids today are taught to use information for critical thinking. Yeah, they are.

If you don’t have a foundation how are you going to know what to look up?

You’re reliance upon smart phones simply validates why you teachers are failures.
