If the government is so great, then how come it continues to fail in even basic endeavors like creating a website? Apple, Facebook, Google, and so many other companies can create a functional website that millions of people visit daily. And that's without any help from the government in funding.
Why can't the government do this? The answer is simple - government is inefficient and wasteful by its nature.
My question for liberals is this: what's a good example of big-government central planning actually working in a country? When I look at the Heritage Index of Economic Freedom or google "socialist countries", I see lots of poverty and ineptitude, not the prosperity the central planners claim would occur.
