There never was one in my AO (or in Virginia) as far as I know but I did go to one in TN back in the 80s....It was OK.

When we visited my Grandmother there was one a few blocks away.
I'd drink root beer until I puked.

Right now, that place is still in two east TN areas, Newport and Sevierville. I am within an hour away from each one.

Just read that an A&W in CA that we visited for 66 years closed down in November. This was one of the originals with roller skating car hops. Seems a drive-by ADA litigator sued them for ADA violations. SMH, they come to your car on roller skates and the place is sued for not having a handicapped parking space. Apparently this has become a cottage industry in CA. These lowlifes drive around looking for violations and get $25K per violation. Too bad. A lot of GREAT memories are going with that place.
