Aliens: Are we sceptical of their existence or just too frightened to admit that they do?

I think Independence Day is closest to the truth ... why come all the way here just to be friends? ... they'll come here to exploit, rape and consume all living things ... just like Europeans did to the Americas ...
Z. Sitchin did portray alien visitations a entirely self serving

which would seem plausible, i really can't think of any good reason to travel the galaxy just to visit a race of Neanderthals..

Fully discredited ... even UFOlogists think he's a hack ... enjoy: http://exopoliticsjournal.com/Journal-vol-1-2-Salla.pdf

Maybe they are a selected group of anthropologists studying the extermination of our species or students of higher education gathering information for their graduate thesis.

In my case (the only one I've had) it was corroborated by more than one other isolated (and un-coached) source. I kept silent and just listened while others described exactly what I saw before I said anything. Both what I saw, and the circumstances were identical.
That has been the experience of others as well. `Two friends, both college professors, had moved to Hawaii and finally admitted to each other that they had encountered what appeared to be a being in the hallways of the old house they bought. Both thought they were just seeing things until it occurred more than once. They compared notes and both agreed they had both seen the same thing. Whatever it was didn't bother them and was not bothering to them and they all lived happily there for more than 10 years before they moved back to the lower 48 to be closer to their kids.

It's similar to my experience. While I was in Vietnam my parents bought an old house. A big house. The first night when I came back from Vietnam I stayed in that house but I woke in the middle of the night and saw a man looking at me. I was calm, I wasn't afraid, and after a few moments when he approached me more closely he disappeared. I went back to sleep. No problem, no fear. In the morning I thought it was a dream and I didn't tell anyone about it until months later when my father told me about his first night in that house. Several other people who've stayed in that house said the same thing. You see the ghost only once, but never again.

I certainly have no reason to disbelieve you. The apparition seen by our Hawaiian friends hung around and they encountered it numerous times--it also was male--but there was no fear.

Probably the most 'haunted' place in New Mexico is the St. James Hotel at Cimmaron, notorious for guests reporting seeing or hearing 'ghosts'. It closed down finally this year after a long long colorful history, but if you Google it you can read a number of interesting accounts. We have visited there several times mostly to treat friends and families visiting us, but having access to a nice cabin roughly 30 miles from there, we never stayed the night. I always wanted to though.

My problem believing myself. I always say that I don't believe in ghost so my experience is weird.

I lived several years in Albuquerque but I've never been to Cimmaron.

I don’t know what I think but there are several points in this report that just don’t “click”. Also, I find it difficult to trust someone who says “fuck” when he wants to say fuck but says “Oh, my gosh” when he wants to say oh my God:

I think the amount of direct and circumstantial evidence that "aliens" have been and are now here is huge. I also think that travel is conventional and also can be interdimensional. There are other dimensions that we humans have not yet figured out. There is more that mankind does not know than what he does know.

It's a lot like the meaning of life .... or maybe that's exactly what it is. I'm not a Theist. I'm not an Atheist. I am an Agnostic so what you say seems logical to me.

I believe we have gone much further than Sitchin , though he certainly set the ball rolling .
Prior to Covid and then Ukraine, Clif High was part of a small planet group who specialised in this area and immediately related subjects. He calls them "the Old Farts Club". All brilliant very high IQ group of polymaths .

Their work has been disrupted though Clif now works closely with Dick Allgire and his Future Forecasting team . They produce remarkable findings .Remote Viewers .

The body of knowledge they have built up about the Elohim is daunting and it seems the Moon is being used as a laboratory and viewing base, though perhaps only inhabited by Greys ( hybrids /robots ?) rather than their creators .

I follow the Men in Black and Black Eyed Children narratives with interest but reserve judgment in terms of full explanations .
All imho .
After seeing your mention of "Clif High" I've been interested in checking him out ~ when I have the time (too many Holidaze things on to do list at moment.).
Agree that Sitchin is a start point in some respects. I've listed some of the others o consider in that Geminga Scenario thread.

What evidence would that be?
No humans have documented it and they left no trace
Start with Sumerian/Akkadian/Babylonian records. India vedics. Some accounts in the Old Testament.
Also some enigmatic "ruins of structures" from ancient times, earlier history (and prehistory).

Enough to make a couple threads out of, but also some presented and referenced in that "Geminga Scenario" thread.

Machu Pichu (sp?) is a classic example. Supposedly can only reach the summit via a narrow trail barely wide enough for humans and lamas. Yet the many building remains at the summit have stones too large to have carried up that trail. And are said to have come from quarries a few valleys(and miles) away.

Wrong . But only 100% wrong .

They moved everything ultra sensitive into private contractor's hands to avoid having to respond to Freedom of Information Requests .

And all the really Above Top Secret work was moved from Area 51 to S4 which is adjacent .
And other locations not known to the public.

There are many who find the concept of other intelligent races/species with much superior technology and older existence/history than humans to be disturbing at least, frightening at more.

Einstein dealt in theoretical particle physics.
Biology is based on Newtonian physics and the periodic table.

You can accelerate a particle to near the speed of light and observe the effects. You can’t do that with a living organism
You can if it's (living organism) enclosed in a properly designed material structure/vehicle AND it's propulsion system provides the right type of energy envelope.
