Anyone see a problem with this?

Tesla — The electric vehicle stock rose nearly 2% after an upgrade to outperform from neutral at Mizuho. The investment firm said Tesla should benefit from expected regulatory changes under the Trump administration, including around autonomous driving. Shares of Tesla were already up 34% in December.

How great is it to have the prez's ear with billions of dollars on the line. Billions to be spent going after political opponents of the guy who is enriching you.

Trump team wants to scrap car-crash reporting rule that Tesla opposes

The Trump transition team wants the incoming administration to drop a car-crash reporting requirement opposed by Elon Musk’s Tesla, according to a document seen by Reuters, a move that could cripple the government’s ability to investigate and regulate the safety of vehicles with automated-driving systems.

Musk, the world’s richest person, spent more than a quarter of a billion dollars helping Trump get elected president in November. Removing the crash-disclosure provision would particularly benefit Tesla, which has reported most of the crashes – more than 1,500 – to federal safety regulators under the program. Tesla has been targeted in National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) investigations, including three stemming from the data.

The recommendation to kill the crash-reporting rule came from a transition team tasked with producing a 100-day strategy for automotive policy. The group called the measure a mandate for “excessive” data collection, the document seen by Reuters shows.

Elon Musk goes global with his playbook for political influence

In the first three days of 2025, Elon Musk commandeered global politics through dozens of rapid-fire, often inflammatory posts to his 210 million followers on X.
The world’s richest person called for the release of a jailed British far-right extremist. He shared a post pressing King Charles III to dissolve Parliament and order a new general election, as he posted memes and a flurry of attacks directed at Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Musk accused Starmer of failing to prosecute“rape gangs” more than a decade ago, a child exploitation scandal that has prompted Britain’s Conservative Party to call for a full national inquiry.

Musk reposted a message from Rupert Lowe, a politician in the Reform UK party who serves in Parliament and who said he spent Friday talking to rape gang victims.

“Victims, past and present, don’t need ‘thoughts and prayers’ from politicians, they need justice,” Lowe said. “We will fight for that in Parliament.”

Musk also briefly turned his attention to the United States’ northern neighbor and praised an interview with Pierre Poilievre, a populist firebrand who leads Canada’s Conservative Party. Musk said that next week he would live-stream a conversation with Alice Weidel, the chancellor candidate for the Alternative for Germany, a far-right political party he has endorsed ahead of that country’s
snap elections in February.

Elon Musk to Host X Event Promoting Neo-Nazi AfD Party Ahead of German Elections

As a private citizen Elon can endorse Nazi's if he so chooses. But he's going to be part of Dotard's admin.

Everyone understands the kind of apoplectic reaction there'd be among Repubs if a Dem prez had an adviser who endorsed Xi in China.

Federal campaign finance documents that were filed today revealed that Elon Musk spent $250,000,000 on trump's campaign. The man certainly recognizes a business opportunity when he sees one.
Zuck spent 400,000,000 getting Joey bribem installed.
