Appeals Court Refuses To Lift Block On Trumps Restricting Birthright Citizenship

That's going to be the crux of the argument.

I still think fixing this will require an amendment, and they should fix the other issue in the 14th, the one caused by Morris v Board of Estimates that doesn't allow States to have a Senate type upper house based on things like counties.
Being under a jurisdiction is like being under a thumb. It’s not a free wheeling license to do as you please

Any truth to the rumor that Amy Coney Barrett has hired additional security guards?

She better get the best she can afford.

The sister of a U.S. Supreme Court Justice was targeted by a bomb threat on Monday morning, according to the Charleston Police Department.

Around 9:30 a.m., officers responded after Amanda Coney Williams, the sister of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, received a bomb threat via email on March 8 just before 11 p.m.

The 14th was passed in 1868 when people would freely come back and forth across the border and few seemed to have an issue with that.

They added the 14th Amendment to address a problem that the framers of our Constitution did not foresee being an issue ~80 years earlier. We now need to modify or interpret the 14th Amendment to do exactly the same thing. Like their forefathers, the framers of the 14th couldn’t see 150 years into the future.

Great pass another amendment

No need to thanks to the open ended exceptions clause they purposely added. Like I said above, if they wanted everyone born on US soil to be a citizen, without exception, they would have said just that. They didn’t.

Go ahead. We know how to do that.

A federal appeals court continued Tuesday to block President Donald Trump’s order to end automatic citizenship to children born to two parents who are not legally authorized to be in the country, another setback for his top priority of strengthening immigration enforcement.

he 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals covering New England became the nation's second federal appeals court to refuse Trump’s request to allow his order to take effect while the case is litigated, after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals along the West Coast. Trump has said he expects to eventually win the legal dispute at the Supreme Court.

A three-judge appeals panel refused to overturn the lower-court's injunction, which found the states were likely to succeed in proving the order violated the Constitution and that the children at stake would be irreparably harmed.
The ninth circus? go figure

That is the plan. The Supreme Court can re-evaluate the 14th and interpret, taking into account the intent of the framers and what was going on in the US at that time.

Seems like we are in agreement.
What was going on at the time was that there were no immigration laws and people could come to this country at will and become citizens and have birthright citizen children. They merely extended this jus soli birthright citizenship to former slaves while keeping the restrictions to those specific parties with whom they had diplomatic treaties with or children of an invading foreign army.
