I think the right would prefer Trump or Limbaugh to be the pope. Political ideology > religion to them. In fact, most righties equate a political ideology with their religious beliefs.

Morales is the first indigenous to be elected to a presidency in South America. Spanish is his second language and he struggles when speaking it. He's strongly in favor of unions and social programs - especially for the many Indians who live in his country.

Interesting note - he's not married and his oldest sister acts as his First Lady. Has two children from two different women. It's said he prefers Chacachaca to marriage and is know as a real swinger - making him somewhat of a hero to many.
