Women have been allowed to go topless in Ontario for decades when it was challenged and the woman won and set precedence. I remeber being a teen and my friends and I were awaiting the rush of beautiful.nude women walking around topless. It never happened. As a society based on equality I dont really have an issue with it. I remember when I was younger and had chiselled abs I was walking across a parking lot in a mall in the Summer with some friends and a security guard told me I needed to put my shirt on as it was private property. There was a man ahead of me also shirtless. I asked why he wasnt asking him to put his shirt on also, he said because I was "sexualized". My friends and I laughed. I just put my shirt on as I don't make big deal of small inconveniences and he probably had some grounds to ask.even though I wasnt inside the mall yet. As an adult if it is a big violation of my.rights of course I will stand on moral and legal principle. There are so few women walking.around topless that it doesnt matter anyways, right? If it is in public, if a man is allowed to walk.around shirtless why shouldn't a woman have the same.rights?
