'As Rooster Crows', Italian Priest Denies Christ To Appease Muslims

Should have known it would be Fox news.

Really, is it worth fighting about??
It is worth dying about, dude.

I do not get where the Muslims were upset, but he didn't want to set it up and ask for help. No, religions are not worth dying for.

It's more like the freedom of self determination and what is important to you

No where does it say the Muslims were upset, but I do take it as the Priest used it as an excuse due to lack of help.

In this case that could very well be true i Guess, but to the point of is religion important, I think if you allow someone to take away your right to believe or marginalize you for it, then what else can they take away from you?
Pretty much anything they want because eventually government becomes God, which is somewhat what we have seen in places like China

Do Muslims ever try to hide elements of THEIR faith in order not to offend people of other faiths?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

So why do Christians believe they have to 'deny Christ' by hiding THEIR faith?

Italian priest nixes Nativity scene to avoid offending Muslims

"Father Sante Braggie, chaplain of the Municipal Cemetery of Cremona and curate of the local parish in Northern Italy, said the display was typically set up within eyesight of a “small corner of the cemetery” that was “reserved for Muslim graves.”

SO?!

"Braggie’s predecessor, Father Oreste Mori, was incredulous. “Seriously? I can’t believe it,” Mori said. “We cannot renounce our culture and traditions. That would be an unpardonable weakness.”

AMEN, FATHER MORI!

OMG- how dare a Priest not follow Easy's commands!

They could have argued with her and I would have been fine with that and probably just listened, my experience with Muslims was next to nil at the time, but tossing the table and threatening her nope. I grabbed them by the throats and escorted them out the door. By the way the Somali girl was the most vocal my Ethiopian girlfriend agreed just not as loud as some of the problems were starting to happen in her country.

You see I am White Atheist male who was dating a Christian Ethiopian women when these two Muslim men asked to sit at our table I cordially agreed at first they did not get angry and seem to be sympathetic but as the Somali girl went on they turned ugly and then the table went along with the threats so I made them leave. They spilt my beer and food and threatened my girls friend. I don't have a prejudiced bone in my body

Just curious - as an Atheist - are you 'irreparably damaged' by the site of a Rosary, someone saying 'god bless you when you sneeze', or saying Merry Christmas? Just curious...

Hell no. I'm a fanatic about the Constitution specifically the 1st and 2nd Amendment. There's very little I find offense unless it is directly interfering with someone's specifically my own rights. My entire family are southern baptist I'm the only "weirdo" in the family.

I'm an old school atheist for the most part I really don't express my views I only did it here to prove a point because I was unfair to the "misunderstood moderate muslims" and put my hands around their throats I was anticipating the usual left wing reaction of cries of islamophobia I mentioned the race of my girlfriend and her friend to head off the inevitable racism charge even though Islam is not a race . Of course I probably did the wrong thing by protecting the females with feminism and all but the kind of man who would turn over a table with good beer and food and then attacks a women doesn't deserve my understand of the troubles of his all of his who gives a crap

I'm Conservative I have the same values as the majority of true Conservatives I just look at things like morality and abortion from a different perspective than Christians do morality is a no brainer and common sense don't kill the innocent. Treat people as you want to be treated until they don't and a sense of responsibility for ones actions. I wouldn't call the Constitution my bible but it is my guide.
