Everybody hates Russia. Everybody wants to get away from Russia. Even Belarus would try to get away if it could.

President Putin sees himself as the Soviet Lincoln. He's trying to put the Union back together against like Honest Abe did in 1860's America. Uncle Pootie is just working to bring the rebel states like Ukraine and Kazakhstan back into the fold.

Bullshit. Before Putin, Russia had already recognized these state as sovereign states. They are not "rebel states" of the USSR; they are separate sovereign states.
