The body of the 20-year-old who tried to assassinate former President Donald Trump was "gone" when Rep. Clay Higgins tried to inspect it as part of an investigation into the shooting, the congressman revealed in a preliminary investigation report.

The world is awash in conspiracy theories about everything.
Since we know who shot Crooks, where and how Crooks was shot. An autopsy confirming the already established facts. There's nothing further to learn from the body, so it was released to the family who chose to cremate it.

This is no different than after Lee Harvey Oswald was killed on November 24, 1963, his body was released to the family for his funeral on November 26, 1963, two days later.
