I haven't been on this thread since Sunday... So I'm curious, are now are all the folks who said the MS 13 part was obviously digitally added as an interpretation of the symbols changing their story and now saying it's part of the tattoo because that's what the news reported? Or is that just your view? No worries if you don't want to speak for others, I guess I'll have to read the last several pages of the thread. But what a mess this thread has been.

I expect that the Trump regime's belated attempts to smear Abrego Garcia after deporting him in an admitted "administrative error" will have no impact on the courts or the court order that the Trump regime must "facilitate" his release - by whatever criteria is applied to that order.

You're right in one sense, I believe.

Whether or not Abrego Garcia is a gang member, or a "suspected" gang member is irrelevant. He was an illegal alien (no longer is), and did have a deportation order. The fact that he was sent to El Salvador, instead of anywhere in the world except El Salvador, is what is legally known as a "harmless error."

Oh, don't get me wrong, I totally agree that one shouldn't change their view just because of what the News says. I haven't spent as much time digging into this as some others have, but I'm pretty sure there are photos of Garcia's tattoo without the "MS 13" part, just the symbols. So I'm not the one who changed my view on it... that would be the person I was replying to in the post you replied to.

I thought for about a split second when I saw the picture, 'Well, the guy literally has . . . oh, wait, that part is added in as an explanation of the symbol.'

I don't know if the explanation is correct or not. I doubt Trump himself sat at a computer and photoshopped it in. My assumption was that it was law enforcement, but it could have been some meme creator. Trump is noted for simply passing on posts without thinking about them longer than it take to read them.

Thanks for reminding me. I read quite a bit about this some years ago. It seems Cohn and Trump were close friends. Cohn was Trump's lawyer in 50's and from the early 70's till 1986 when he was disbarred. Cohn died 5 weeks after his disbarment of Aids.

I guess the MS13 was tattooed on his knuckles above where he had the MS13 "symbols" on his fingers... for double emphasis I guess... lol that's the last I heard about his tattoos... not sure if that's changed...
