Why do we teach journalism at schools.? Journalists are useless evil people. Colleges should teach STEM only.

I studied journalism in the 60s. It is a subject that needs to be taught. What is being taught in schools today has NOTHING to do with OBJECTIVE journalism. It is more about publisher manipulation. While it has always been around, think Hearst, Pulitzer, etc, it has gotten worse and the publishers, by and large are marching lockstep in their political agenda due to ownership of large numbers of outlets being owned by oligarchs like Soros and Murdoch. This is basically a repeat of the Hearst-Pulitzer era on a grander scale.
