Democracy! ...a majority of Greenland citizens want to join America...

Starmer has not been invited to the Inauguration. What say you?
That's another area it is difficult to sort out the truth. Apparently Starmer was never expected to attend the inauguration but there will be representatives of the U.K. there. Having studied Donald Trump over this last eight plus years, I could be wrong, but I honestly don't believe he snubbed Starmer. It simply would not be in character with his predictable M.O.

🥱

Take your petty tantrums elsewhere, child.

I’d laugh myself off my chair if the Greenland proposal crops up as a serious consideration between Denmark and the U.S. Wouldn’t you look foolish? Well, more foolish.

Denmark doesn't have a lot to say about it. It's Greenland's decision.

Denmark owns it actually.

Yes and no. Greenland has a recognized right to self-determination.

"As part of the self-rule law of 2009 (section §21), Greenland can declare full independence if it wishes to pursue it, but it would have to be approved by a referendum among the Greenlandic people[23] and the Danish parliament. Because it was once a colony, under international law Greenland also has, separate from the 2009 law, right of self-determination and could make a unilateral declaration of independence.[24] A poll in 2016 showed that there was a clear majority (64%) for full independence among the Greenlandic people,[25] but a poll in 2017 showed that there was a clear opposition (78%) if it meant a fall in living standards.[26]"

Commentary...

We are already supporting the lions
share of their security needs. The Louisiana Purchase and Seward Folly... AKA the purchase of Alaska, they worked out pretty well for us. Tell me, what's the downside of purchasing Greenland...other than Trump wants to do it.

"A new survey found that a majority of Greenland respondents support joining the United States.

According to a poll by Patriot Polling released Sunday, 57.3 percent of respondents approve of Greenland becoming part of the U.S. Just 37.4 percent disapproved of the potential acquisition, and 5.3 percent are undecided about the move."

(Then there's a bunch of commentary. If The Hill wants to contradict the results of this survey...run your own!)

(I wouldn't hold my breath on that...if they were to get the same result, it would run contrary to their biased narrative.)

Let's start the voting! I wonder if democrats are still OK with letting people vote?
