When it came time for me to retire from the Air Force, we seriously considered the area around Scott AFB. We'd been stationed there for 4 years and really loved the area.

But I'm glad we moved back home to Kentucky. Kentuckians aren't dictated to by leftists and their insanity.

Kentucky has a history of being a pretty much down to earth state. The only surprise for me about Kentucky was the rino senator Mitch McConnell. Big cities really attract the blue bells so senator McConnell can be understood from that perspective. It's the same up here in eastern Washington state which is heavily conservative/libertarian except for the big city of Spokane. Folks out here on the plateau are almost 1950's in demeanor. I think that it's pretty much that way in all 50 states except for Hawaii.
