Did Trump promise China to lift tariffs if they investigated Hunter Biden's work there?

There is a new piece in the Washington Post that should prompt Democrats to investigate whether this is the case. WaPo obtained a video of Trump saying that he told his good friend (the man who serves as his envoy in China trade talks) that Hunter Biden alleged did crooked things while doing work in China (which is a baseless conspiracy theory).

The envoy (a very close friend of Trump ) would never admit to using a Hunter Biden investigation as a bargaining chip, so if this happened, so Democrats need to dig for emails between these two.
