Have You Ever Felt Sorry for the I.R.S.? Now Might Be the Time
Even before Congress began revising the tax code, the I.R.S. was struggling to keep up with an expanding workload. Since 2010, its budget has been cut by $900 million — or 17 percent, after adjusting for inflation — and its staff reduced by 21,000, or 23 percent. In the meantime, it has had to process roughly 10 million more individual returns.
This same agency was used to restrict the rights of Conservatives who spoke against the previous admin. Also the IRS created a Star Trek Spoof, wasting millions of US tax dollars that could of been used to bring down the debt. In this new age of on line taxes, the IRS should go fully automated and everything would be run better, but for liberals, they wont because that would mean downsizing the government and less government employees means less votes for the Democrats.

I would go to a flat tax, collected at the source, and abolish the IRS as it currently exists altogether.
