I first met him in 5th grade...he was normal.

As school and life demands more of you as you grow he just didn't want to rise to the challenge...ANY challenge.

He just thought he would drift thru life, not paying attention to anything & not thinking about anything (retirement...buying a house...getting married or even a girl friend...nothing).

Now he's reaping the rewards those choices have brought him...and I certainly ain't gonna take care of him his remaining years.

He made his bed...HE'LL have to sleep in it.

That's very unfortunate, both for him & the loss of your friend for you, however it sounds as if maybe he's been struggling with mental challenges his whole life that were left unaddressed.

Well if you prefer not working and can live off of roughly 25 to 37.5% of your normal salary I guess it's possible.

I don't know why anyone would want to do that though.

He would rise to the occasion WHEN HE HAD TO...when he was forced to. But once he found "entitlements" he was no longer forced to...and it utterly destroyed him.

He even found a "group" that would do the paper work for him...as long as they get a cut of his entitlements.

When I still spoke with him I would say something about how we are almost 60 now...and he would freak out! Screaming not to say that. He couldn't face how he's wasted his whole life. He's ended up bitter, miserable and argumentative. And a large portion of that has been government freebies.

Maybe not 100% of it but a large portion!

I think it's loser behavior to let taxpayers pay for your student loan. Then again if they want to pay for my car loan I'm all for it.

I used to get laid off in the winter sometimes but usually I would just go to work doing something else until April. I've been an ironworker, a lumberjack, operating engineer, a fireman/paramedic a handyman, a mechanic, an electrician, an electronics tech, a carpenter, an HVAC tech, a drywaller, plumber etc, etc...

As far as I’m concerned you’re gaming the system by collecting at all. I’m sympathetic to you getting laid off but it’s happened to me before and I chose to get another job rather than sucking on the Government test.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. What I meant is that Moonglow is a brick mason, not the guy in the video.

Cement is not a verboten word by us concrete contractors. We just cringe when we hear the term "cement" used interchangeably with the term "concrete".

Oh got ya... lol How do you know he was a Mason?...
I had some concrete contractors as customers when I was still in business... I sold them loaders and the implements and backhoes rollers and all kinds of tools... they always kidded me when I called it cement... lol the guy makes some good videos and his crew is a crack up... I'm hooked on watching them work...
