On the subject of merged threads, those on the East Coast have an advantage. Here on the West Coast starting a thread on a breaking news article at 7:00 AM PST often gets a 'there's alrady a thread on this topic' message. Not complaining just letting the mods know it's not intentional, just have to learn to scan the board before posting.

What does this have to do with anything political?

Unless deleted. Then it's like Chinese food.
