Well, I kind of agree. The guy probably feared for himself but Somehow the judge and jury thought differently and he got 12 years because they determined there was no threat.
I am having more of a hard time understanding why some people feel the cop should get life in prison, as he wasn't asking for the guy to create that situation which he did.

Your wrong, people on PCP or LSD.. on a bad trip can kill you with their hands. Cops face these people more on a regular basis than you do personally, depending on where they work. So yes, a lot of how they react is based on this knowlege. You need to be in their shoes first before you go calling them pigs and making fucking assertions of what their motives were when you know absolutely nothing.
I find it funny that some of the police bashers on these threads who celebrate when cops get shot or believe that most of them are bad, corrupt, or kkk in disguise, have personal friends or relatives who are cops and somehow.. THOSE cops are the good ones... talk about getting lucky.
In my opinion, there are too many slaps on the wrist going on down here in the south. Go here for a recent write up on what's been going down or should I say who has been going down in my neck of the woods.

P.S. My question is why is one accessory after the fact getting a shorter sentence compared to the other? To me, none of the sentences are long enough considering how the murder happened and what did not take place after the deed was done.

Pretty much a bunch of excuse making for the most part. He got 12yrs and will be out in 6yrs, the young man who was murdered is NEVER coming back. I don't really need to be a cop to know I don't need a gun for an UNARMED man who is naked. The system has ALWAYS worked for white and there are so many cases to prove it, it really isn't worth the time to try and post them.
