Expert on civil wars says the US is heading toward insurgency — the 21st-century version of civil war

This is the kind of "civil war" I've always expected. There won't be two uniformed armies fighting on a battlefield. It will be groups here and there attempting to destroy infrastructure, going after government buildings, government officials, etc.

I am finally getting around to reading the book, as I have been occupied writing my manifesto for the past year. I am interested in the solutions she prescribes, but I could tell from her interview videos that she does not have anything; her chapter on preventing civil war confirms that. She is a leftist and sees all the leftist government reform policies to be the most accurate approach to avoid war.

Basically, she believes in the political big bang. Eliminate the Republican party and all will be good.

Although, I agree that we are heading towards a civil war, I believe that it will be prevented by the introduction of a new formula for the separation of government powers; leading to graduated constitutional convention series that will go through all the social stratification issues that seemingly lead to the civil unrest.

“The American Experiment” is not just a euphemism for the difficulty in self-governing a free society. We actually live in an uncoordinated system of social experiments that are all using the same disordered government separation model. In general, the output of the generational experiment has been tolerable, and the accomplishments of American society have been tremendously beneficial to the modern world; however, the increasingly vitriolic political discourse and persistent social disorderliness that we are enduring should be the noticeable over-run malfunctioning of the systemic errors of the Experiment.

  • An expert on political violence warned the US could be headed toward a modern-day civil war.
  • Barbara F. Walter told The Washington Post the US is displaying predictive behaviors for conflict.
  • She said the US is poised for an insurgency, which is more decentralized.

That's not war in any fashion. Just standard old fashioned terrorism.

Obviously Hollywood thinks that we are headed toward a civil war, so much si they made a "B" novie about it.
See: trailer "Civil War 2024"

A dialogue from 28 days later fits perfectly here.It was not just on the tv screen anymore, it was outside your street, coming in through your windows.
Is it just coincidence that Hollywood would release this during an election year?
Would the president order the military to fire upon U.S. citizens as in the movie?
With the recent occurrences one has to think that this just might happen.
With all the actions by Democrats against Trump and the MAGA movement and now tqo assassination attempts on Trumps life you have to wonder if our generals may decide to begin a coup d'etat against the Democrat Neo-Marxists controlled Fedral Gov't.

What CIVIL WAR Is Really About

"Alex Garland’s Civil War has been a controversial movie since its announcement and even more so after its first trailer. Now that it’s actually here, what can we make of it? In this video, I explain what I see as Garland’s intended meaning and what I personally took away from it".

They made two movies about a comet hitting the earth, does that mean they obviously think a comet is going to hit the earth?

Seems our astronomers keep an eye out for errant"comets"/astroids hitting Earth...
Is it possible, or probable that an asteroid or comet can or will hit Earth. Comets less unlikely but asteroids definitely Yes. It happens everyday. .
Is it possible a Civil war can occur in a 21st Century America? Well, it happened once before.
Interestly in Mexico had a Civil War in 1936 and We've seen several in Central America during the 20th Century, not to mention the Civil War/Fall of Soviet Russia in 1991.

Why Did the Soviet Union Collapse?

Since 1965 there have been 17 movies involving a meteor or Comet hitting the earth ( As a major story line or premise ) and 11 movies that involved Civil War in America as a main story or back story

"insurgency - term historically restricted to rebellious acts that did not reach the proportions of an organized revolution."

Yeah, that sounds about right for the direction this country is heading. But there could be some intervening events that curtail an insurgency, or most of it. Such as a really bad economic downturn with high inflation and low economic growth approaching or realizing recession or depression status. Or another pandemic. Might even be a World War III.

A vast Migrant unabated Crimewave would be as bad as a 3 %er Insurgency

Jamie Raskin (d-MD) is already calling for it
