Experts say high food prices are here to stay. Here’s why.

Y'all are still playing football when both teams ran up the score.

M-2 or money supply, and if money supply growth is more than gdp growth, then inflation will result UNLESS gdp growth catches up with M-2. And they're both at it again, with allowing govt workers who didn't pay into Soc Sec to get benefits.

However, tariffs are just a form of taxation.

We'll see.

forgot a link.

There were about 10 million illegal aliens in the country during the Trump administration.
If things were functioning well with them in the country, hold on to your butts because Trump campaigned on deporting all of them. Things tend to stop working well when millions of the people who made them work well are deported.
Stop lying. Trump will deport the freeloaders living in luxury hotels and getting free food.

….and we have no shortage of Americans who dropped out of high school and are now on welfare to work mowing lawns, in factories, and for food producing plants.

After a few million illegals get deported the "demand" for food will get back to normal and prices should drop.

Millions getting free food had to raise prices for the rest of us.
That is not what happened.

1. The same people who harvested the crops before Biden's open borders.
2. People living in fancy hotels getting free food aren't harvesting anything but free debit cards.
The southern border was never open, but the north east and west have remained open. Nobody has lived in the manner you described.

Trump's budgets were $4T until Covid hit, Biden has no excuse to keep $7T budgets, both added about $8T to the DEBT

Biden’s 2025 Budget is $7.30T with a $1.8T deficit______TOTAL BIDEN $8.3T (actual per clock)
Biden’s 2024 Budget was $7.30T with a $2.0T deficit
Biden's 2023 Budget was $6.13T with a $1.7T deficit
Biden's 2022 Budget was $6.27T with a $1.4T deficit
Trump's 2021 Budget was $6.82T with a $2.8T deficit___ TOTAL TRUMP $7.6T
Trump's 2020 Budget was $6.55T with a $3.1T deficit
Trump's 2019 Budget was $4.40T with a $0.9T deficit
Trump's 2018 Budget was $4.10T with a $0.8T deficit
Stop excusing trump for COVID. Trump inherited growth he did not have to create deficits. Biden inherited a dead economy.

For 3x the wage. As it should be.
What?! Places around me are already paying $15 an hour for unskilled labor. You think they should get $45, or almost $90,000 a year?

Nope. Sorry. That would drive prices skyhigh. If people want to earn more than minimum wage, they need to acquire a valuable skill.

$15 an hour for a high school dropout is fine.

you should try slaughtering a pig or steer and then butchering it. I'm pretty sure you have no ability for it.

You don't determine what's valuable. Some companies need to drop CEO stock options as part of their pay and distribute the dividends to employees via increased wages.

Um, wut? lol
I didn't stutter.

"New data reported in the past few days indicate that murders are way down, illegal immigration at the southern border has fallen even below where it was when Mr. Trump left office and roaring stock markets finished their best two years in a quarter-century..."

That’s true. The MARKET determines what valuable. And low-skill jobs have low value.

As I said, people who don’t like earning minimum wage should crack down on their studies, finish high school, and at a minimum get an A.A. degree or complete a vocational program.

If they are lazy or just plain dumb, they are stuck with minimum wage. Buddy up with another MW worker and rent a modest apartment.
