Second, what you also don't take into account is John Anderson's entry into the race as a third party candidate, which severely changed the nature of the electorate.

But here's the most important difference. IN 1980, White People made up 88% of the electorate. So Reagan could talk about mythical "Welfare Queens" and "Young Bucks" and losing people of color wasn't that big of a deal. Today, White People are only 70% of the electorate and considerably less racist than they were in 1980.

So while Trumps much more open racism helps him in the GOP Primaries, it's fatal in the general election.

Why don't you consider blacks to be "real Americans"?? It's Republicans who want ALL off the Welfare State and participating in the riches that the US has to offer as EQUALS!!!! Only DemoKKKrats consider Blacks so inferior they deserve handouts instead of wages and salaries!!!

Recessions are corrections in the Business Cycle; even YOU must know that. They are also made worse by bursting Bubbles; one's brought about by DemoKKKrat policies and corrupt actions or clueless inactions. Consider: the Tech bubble; Clinton, the Housing Bubble; Demokkkrat including Clinton and Frank....go back and nearly every bad recession was made worse by DemoKKKrat ineptitude.
