Pretty simple to explain. And fits right in with the wider and wilder weather swings we have seen this year. Really big fires above 4500 ft in the Black Hills of South Dakota in the first two weeks of December? 56 in. of rain in six days in Houston? High winds and huge fires the whole of fall, and into the start of winter in California? over 11,000 homes burned. Montana burned through there fire fighting budget in a blink this year. Over half a million acres burned there. When this year is tallied up for extreme weather events, it is going to go right off the chart.

yeah but most people aren't falling for it........and that was even before bozo's like Spencer come up with this silly-ass effort to explain plummeting temperatures and the Grat Lakes freezing completely over year after year. Most people are not going to distrust what they are seeing and feeling in favor of what the "science says". Its just human nature. They've seen massive floods and big fires their whole life..........as well as ball busting cold. So to the masses, nothing is changing = most people yawn when the whole topic of climate change comes up. And there is massive evidence of that, first and foremost that congress hasn't lifted a finger in over 10 years on climate change....its a radioactive topic on the floors of congress now. They're responding to their constituents silence. The Paris Treaty wouldn't be dead if people cared. Renewable energy wouldn't be providing such a miniscule % of our electricity after 25 years. President Trump wouldn't be being able to decimate the EPA.

As Ive said......for people to care, there has to be something occurring that is starkly out of the ordinary and we just never see that........water skiing sporting bikini's in central Alaska in mid-January for example. Opinions can differ but what matters at the end of the day is what is the overall consensus of the voting public........election after election shows us that climate change just isn't on most peoples radar's. Of course, that could change but at this stage, there is no indication of that happening. In the last mid-term election, every single green candidate got his clock cleaned ( despite 85 million in spending )...........not much more to talk about.

The exclamation point is seeing China ramping up its coal production by 20% in 2020 and by 50% in 2050! That fact alone really makes this forum an exercise in group navel contemplation. Call me a cynic..........

And now they are trying everything they can to be seen as credible by making broad predictions that have no basis in empirical facts. Their models have failed so badly that now they predict full spectrum of everything and say its all caused by gullible warming..

they cant afford to acknowledge that for a nanosecond. Recent polar axis movement has shifted the cold more south........and in perhaps the most laughable bomb throwing effort to date, they blame the axis movement on global warming. Previously, the award for most absurd was that the Japanese tsunami from some years back was caused by climate change!

Its like this...........in 7 weeks, 100,000 people will head to Daytona for the Daytona 500. That same week, there will be short track racing a short distance away. Short track dirt racing devotee's will beckon some of the 100,000 to blow off Daytona to watch the midgets race on dirt. My guess is, maybe 3 people will blow off Daytona for the midget races on dirt.

Things like "arctic intrusions".......cared about by a handful of people. Does the guy taking pictures at Niagra Falls this morning leave and race home to buy some air conditioners because at the arctic circle its a few degree's warmer? Will he ever even find about about it? Imagine Dr. Roy Spencer standing by the falls this morning lecturing the crowd about global warming!!
