France chooses a more middle road.

Marine Le Pen, daughter and heir of Jean-Marie, has her constituency, or at least had. It remains to be seen what becomes of her, but the 'cause' will certainly roll on. Political pendulum swings mean 'left' provokes 'right' and vice-versa. We don't have to be 'leftist' if we don't dislike 'rightists' and don't have to be 'rightists' to dislike 'leftists'. We can understand how one might come to vote for one party or another even when we could never do so. She will probably have to be replaced if her party or constituency want a viable candidate the next time. The virtual absence of significant 'left' opposition increases chances for such a one. Representation in the National Assembly is more problematic for those whom Le Pen has personified. Macron remains strong there for the moment. The next elections are thus referred to as the third round in the Presidential race. Some sort of co-habitation may take place that will hobble Macron's mostly corporate friendly real politique.

Macron is no more "middle road" than Hugo Chavez....He won because LePen has been an even shittier candidate than were Romney and McCain.

Marine Le Pen's professional candidacy has again met a predictable loss. Macron will continue as President of France.

Macron is the first French President to win two terms since 2002 Jacques Chirac won the election with 82.2% of the vote!!!

Fuck La Pen. Fuck her party and fuck her support of Pooty. Vive La France.

Happens a lot. Or they side with Putin and Russia as well like many on this forum
I know little about politics in France other than the usual headlines

but Le Penn’s issues about immigration will not go away there or in America

so dont gloat too soon

The title said more middle, as in than Le Pen, not necessarily that he was middle. He is right of middle.
