The difference between you and me is that I don't forget the US GI's who died on France's soil. You seem to forget the french soldiers and sailors who paid with their lives the american freedeom and independance... And don't say again that France didn't fight for the American, but only to kick British, we've already speak of it and I already gave to you an answer.
And about your deads in France : France lost more than 2 millions of people during the two World Wars, 1.5 million in the WWI, more than 500,000 in the WWII. For the WWI, it's 1/30 of the whole France population, and about 1/10 of the soldiers sent on the front. That was a real nightmare, and it explains why French population was quite sick of war in 1939. But here again, say that French didn't fight in 1940 would be an insult to the deads' memories : 90,000 french soldiers lost their lives during the Campaign of France of may-june 1940, killing 45,000 german soldiers. In fact, the Germans lost more soldiers during the France's Campaign than during the invasion of USSR (1941), in pro rata deads/day.
And French lost more soldiers, pro rata deads/days, than in Verdun, or in La Somme (1916)
But still, half of you surrendered and the other half collaborated.
