This is my favorite of their songs. Initially, I couldn't understand the chorus. I actually thought it was "Mary, Christ have mercy". instead of Ferry Cross the Mersey.

I was more into Motown, but remember them well.
Their front man, Gerry Marsden just passed away a few years ago.

They used to be guests occasionally on an old variety show in the 60's called Shindig.
A friend of mine had another friend named Bobby Sherman, who was part of the shows regular lineup.
