Go Solar they said

A post on the PG&E website said that Ivanpah's “technology had worked on a smaller scale in Europe.” But over time, it couldn't match the lower prices of photovoltaic technology.

A post on the PG&E website said that Ivanpah's “technology had worked on a smaller scale in Europe.” But over time, it couldn't match the lower prices of photovoltaic technology.

So, a complete green energy fail, billions wasted, land destroyed, countless rare plant species lost, thousands of birds and tortoises incinerated, it loses power, it under performs, it costs too much, and it blinds nearby drivers. And it lowered the planetary temperature exactly SQUAT.

Another leftwing win for the climate!

Just another enviro-whacko fiasco for the now dying enviro movement.

I'm not sure that it is dying Jack, just returning to normal sans Biden's artifical climate government mandates.
Nothing wrong with these technologies and others to explore, test and try, where the problem came in was Biden's federal use of force dumping billions of taxpayer dollars into artificially boosting its success while setting legal deadlines pressuring businesses and people to conform and adopt it whether they wanted it, needed it, or could afford it or not.

If any green energy technology comes along truly BETTER, it will succeed without any of that, people will want it, because it is cheaper, cleaner and more productive.

Not because they have a gun to their head.

Advances in other solar energy products undercut it's operational cost.
Solar is too expensive, yet you claimed Ivanpah was the future.

Ivanpah solar was always a lie. It has always been broke. Now a full 33% of it is non-functional, broke beyond repair.

This why is why the largest solar project in the world is shutdown.
