A tradeoff will be accepted. If the products are made overseas and then come home to be made that may affect the prices somewhat.

Food shipped in from overseas will need more additives not less just to shelf-stabilize them unless they are frozen. I am not thrilled with RFK's proposal to ban fluoride in tap water though. That will lead to a lot of dental problems down the road for poor people who otherwise already don't have access to regular dental care where they could otherwise get fluoride treatments. Anyway, it is an interesting discussion that should be had, but I just hope that RFK is not put in a position to dictate a single thing. These things need to be deep-dived into and not arbitrarily decreed from on high.
