My son is 6'2" and daughter-in-law 5'10" so granddaughter had no chance to be shorter than her 6'+ height which is both regal and handicapping for her. Our daughter topped out at a reasonable 5'7".

But humankind cannot escape the effect of evolution and both cures and prevention for many former life changing diseases and even with all our processed and junk food, advanced and more reliable nutrition is overall increasing the height, weight and longevity of the human species. And because evolution is so slow we scarcely notice the changes from generation to generation.

Barron Trump with a 6'3" dad and 5'11" mom was inevitably going to be tall. I doubt they anticipated 5'7" tall but tall. All the Trump kids are tall, even Tiffany who is the shortest at 5'8" and the same height as her mom. It's a shame Barron wasn't interested in basketball. (Neither was our granddaughter in which she could have excelled.) But none of us can dictate where another's heart should lie.

Unless their name is Trump in which case people can be heartless, vicious and cruel. It isn't limited to just those kids named Trump either. Chelsea Clinton certainly got her share of cruel comments, especially on her appearance, as she was growing up. And the Bush twins were often savaged with compromising photos posted on line.

I personally think honorable people will put the kids off limits for that kind of public attacks and commentary, but too few people seem to have any ethics about being unkind, cruel, even vicious to others, even the kids. I will criticize actions, ideology, policy etc. and can use strong words to do so, but I honestly would fear that special place in hell that probably is reserved for those so capable of being so thoughtless, unkind, cruel, vicious to another person, especially a child. Thank goodness God gives us opportunity to repent and be different from that.
