Necks and backs really do make the best broth. I found an organic chicken farmer and asked him for necks, and he said "No way!"

I haven't tried the local Hutterite colony to see if they'll part with some necks. I do get feet from them, but I like necks better. Both have lots of good collagen.

If I'd known you wanted to come and feast, I'd have taken a chicken out of the freezer. Just big enough for two and leftovers. That's how my late hubby and I did holiday dinners.

I like homemade soup but it's not a substitute for a feast. You should treat yourself better. I even gifted myself the softest robe ever for Thanksgiving. I'm gonna live in that thing. I also made Glühwein and candied pecans and got an once of good weed for the occasion. I still got a lot of wine bags from this summer, so I'm saving money too.

I also saved a bunch of money by buying a purple fur coat out of season this summer. I was looking for a conservative investment when I stumbled onto that coat. I wear it with a little black dress and heels, an up-do and sunglasses. It's so badass.
