My point is that the paper doesn’t stand on its own merits because it’s not primary research. It is a synthesis of other research, where the analysis rests on what is and isn’t included and how it’s interpreted.

So if this paper selectively chooses papers that back it up, or misinterprets papers that don’t, then it produces a product which is misleading or downright false.

That’s one reason they don’t want us to know about the authors.

Again, you aren't understanding the peer review procedure, and who the fuck cares that it isn't primary research, considering the point of it was to point out the flaws in the existing research?
