How Does REAL ID Make an Airplane or Federal Building More Safe if You Are Already Searched and Unarmed?

This country has a habit of doing feel good things without any value or benefits unless you are a government contractor.

How is searching 80 year-old grandma and grandpa's carry on thoroughly or singling them out for thorough search in the name of non bias or non discriminatory makes flying safer when just about all terrorists don't fit the profile? It doesn't.

If a person boarding a plane is unarmed and cannot access the cockpit
What is his threat?

How will Real ID keep us safer?
If a man that is a terrorist is boarded on an airplane you see no threat?

You obviously do not have the intellect nor imagination to intelligently access a threat.

On 9/11 no terrorist boarded the plane with weapons, the weapons were already on the plane.

On any airplane, the pilots always leave the cockpit to use the restrooms.

The claim is there is US Marshall on board the plane so not it is safe.

Gee, somebody tried to assassinate Trump, according to democrats, arguing that the mere presence of police makes everyone 100% safe.

Hell, democrats wrote this into law and have not complained until Trump became president

This is the main giveaway that REAL ID has nothing to do with safety. It will be part of a mass surveillance program linked to facial recognition.

Do they take away your bottles of shampoo and make you remove your shoes at a federal office building? Why not? Why should you have to show any ID at all? Things that make you go hmmm...

"Real ID Has Nothing to Do with Safety

The argument that strict identification is a necessity for safety in airline travel is deeply flawed. The determinant of safety is what a passenger boards a plane with. Either a passenger is “naked,” in the security sense of the word, meaning thoroughly searched for arms or weapons, or he is not. It is ridiculous to presume that a passenger may take over an airliner with the pilots cabin door locked, as all now are. Armed air marshals are now on almost every flight. The requirement for a form of identification to enter federal buildings is equally ridiculous.

As Rep. Thomas Massie said in April in response to Trump’s announcement that Real ID will be enforced,

A recent court challenge to warrantless, 24/7 street surveillance by authorities is moving forward."

Hey numbnuts, do you have a phone? If so you are already being tracked.

Why didn’t Dems repeal this law?

It’s not about repealing. The ID itself doesn’t do anything. It’s like Europe requiring travelers to register before they can visit but just about all perps who ran over Germans or stabbing them are imported in the name of diversity.

Unless I missed something, I don’t recall hearing about white or east Asian tourists running over European nationals with a car.

Of course you need to repeal the law that requires it

Harder to fake these. A chain lock secures a door but a deadbolt does a better job
We have had enhanced screening at airports since 9-11 and have not had any incidents

What does Real ID do for us?

Screenings can catch you bringing something in, but can’t tell you who you are…like an ID

You are figuratively stripped naked before you board that plane.
You have no guns, bombs, knives

Your luggage is scanned

Where is the threat?
What if someone smuggles the weapons on board the plane and you are an illegal immigrant terrorist who slipped across the border and was given a driver's license by your blue state?
