Yeah it's not about the ratings no way. It's a secret agenda to subtly subvert us...Too dumb. TV and other forms of art have always been controversial.Television creates characters that are personable, admirable, and even lovable. And the audience comes to like them. Then the writers have them behaving in ways that insult the culture or conflict with longstanding moral or ethical principles (sometimes called, "Judeo-Christian Values).
The audience is conflicted. How can these lovable people be behaving so badly? Maybe they are not behaving badly at all, and "our values" are just misplaced or wrong. Ultimately, the audience comes to "feel" that the behavior of these people they "like" is acceptable, and therefore it is acceptable generally, in their own lives.
Murphy Brown decides to have a child out of wedlock, in order to fulfill her own life.
A gay couple adopts a child.
Gay couples need to get married, but can't. Then they get married but continually have trysts with people other than their "spouses."
A man has more than one wife.
A married woman finds her "true love" outside marriage.
Look closely at the morality of the behavior of the stars in "Friends," "Grey's Anatomy," "Seinfeld" and the other popular shows of the past 30 years, and compare with the previous programming. They are mostly all degenerates who would be shunned by most families if their behavior was known.
This is how they sell this garbage to the general public, and this is how the public debate has been formed. A recent study indicated that almost half of the U.S. adult population thought the percentage of "gays" in the U.S. was "about 25%," when in fact it is 2-3% by most reliable estimates. Where did these adults get this mis-information? By watching TV, of course.
TV executives deny that they modify public opinions and behavior, they claim merely to be reflecting it in their programming, but this is clearly not the case.
If the people pushing this perverted world view were trying to promote it using facts and logic, it could be easily defeated, but they don't; they utilize manipulated emotions and feelings to get the desired audience response without having to bother with logical justification or scientific research. If our worst world enemy had wanted to destroy American society fifty years ago, there is nothing they could have done that would be as successful as this subversive campaign by Hollywood "elites," whose own hedonism and amoral world view pervades our entertainment business.
One should don a brain condom before watching prime time television. Only for prevention of moral "disease."
If you want to ban TV shows, then YOU'RE the one with the failing morals.
TV is meant to appeal to the lowest common denominator in society.Television is geared to the mentality of an adolescent..Keep it simple and keep the herd distracted.....they purposely do market research to see how to influence people...subtly and not so subtly...
