This doesn't work all the time...but it works a lot of the time.

It also allows you to post archived links so as not to contribute to left (or right) leaning websites click count.

This is the Bloomberg link we're going to archive...

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

Insert after the double backslash "archive.is/"

That link will take you to a page like this...

Click the link and it will take you to an Archive Today archived page with full text and no paywall...

And provide a link to the achived page...

What manner of sorcery is this? Are you a wizard? :eek-52:

Thanks for the tip. I have found that some site's paywall could be circumvented by hitting the "reload" button, then stopping the page from loading. Not in all cases though.

This is much better!

I've explained this before.

go to:

Put url into Save Page Now:

then SAVE PAGE:

Yeah, but the wayback machine doesn't get behind many paywalls...including the Bloomberg page in the OP.

This method, as far as I can tell, does not work with WSJ. . . :sigh2:

And the WSJ is never carried on MSN or Yahoo. . . (I always check with them, as they will always carry the popular NYT and WaPo propaganda.)

I don't bother with paid sites. Too many free ones.
Agreed. . but, there are so many different echo chambers, to really understand the entire scope of a story or situation, you really have to sample ALL those echo chambers.

For instance, I really wanted to read that above link, (the one posted in the previous post,) and compare it this one;

RFK Jr. challenges Biden to drop out, insisting he has better shot of defeating Trump

The independent candidate responded to attacks he’s a spoiler for Trump.

Thank you for the tip. I tried it on The Times here in the UK, and it worked.

The WSJ isn't perfect. but it is now the only national newspaper that has some actual journalism tossed in by default; it also publishes corrections and book reviews in the Weekend edition. I buy the Weekend edition nearly every Saturday when I go to breakfast.

Few cite the WSJ because it frowns on copyright infringements and takes a hard line on them.

Yeah... That sucks. I'll see if I can find another method.

Well. . if this isn't coincidence? I don't know what is.

James just dropped a report on this topic a few days ago! He has a regular series which he calls #SolutionsWatch. In this month's episode, he gives a run down, on how exactly to use the site. . . .

Once I followed his instruction? I had success with that WSJ RFKjr. story!

meh. . . sometimes folks just forget or misplace their user credentials.

Bloomberg was gotten wise to this trick and added a piece of instruction to their articles web address.

It looks like this...

You have to get rid of that when you add your archive.is

Delete the ? and everything after it.

Edit- P.S. you can ALWAYS delete the ? And everything after it. It's extraneous and has no relation to the web address.

Oh, they got me superblocked from there.

I do the little puzzle and it says "you've been blocked."

Probably has something to do with that comment trolling I did fer a bit through that one service they use.

I agree with what was said about finding the information elsewhere. News sources quote one another and there is a lot of circular referencing.
