Well, yes there is. Make sure that the politicians in charge of this nation are smart enough to understand the science, and do all they can to prevent those numbers from going too much higher. Smart enough to start planning for the inevitable changes in sea level and climate that those numbers represent.

What's filthy about Coal?

Just about everything. Puts arsenic, lead, mercury, and uranium in the air. Kills water sheds with fly ash spills. Destroys whole watershed with mountain top removal. And adds vast amounts of GHGs to the atmosphere.

Sorry, I don't see it......coal, per unit of electricity produced, is uber clean......
