I Currently Have Chronic Constipation Any Suggestions?

I'm afraid that it's getting worse guys. The blood is getting darker and I am gassy a lot too. Tomorrow I'm going to check if I can possibly get an earlier appointment, but I highly doubt it.
No relief yet? My 54 year old wife has been having gastrointestinal issues since April of last year. So far, she's been told that it's IBS and one of those diver... conditions. All kinds of tests done too.

take a laxative like Senakot and a stool softener like Colace and drink lots of water and eat food with fiber like corn. you should be having at least one or two bowel movements per day...if not, then it means you are not drinking enough water. if your urine is yellow, you need to drink more water. your urine should be clear. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the information and my urine is usually clear with a yellow tint.

Well cutting back on my prunes helped a little of not going so often. :)

Are you taking narcotic pain pills? (Norco, oxy, tramadol etc) those can make you constipated

You have my sympathy. Some of my wife's struggles is definitely anxiety related and not taking good care of herself for a long portion of her life. Otoh, I am a man and I know it's different for women. I try not to offer any opinions. I'm not a doctor.

Have you told your doctor that you’re popping 5/6 times a day and never feel like you’re emptying? That’s not normal and I can’t believe he hasn’t ordered a colonoscopy

I haven't seen him yet and with less prunes it's more like three to four times a day.

Well, until your actual doctor evaluates you and runs some tests everything you’re told here isn’t helpful to you. We don’t know the full story or the context of your medical history. Your doctor does

I'm currently eating prunes daily and drinking two to three full glasses of water and a lot of fiber vitamins and I'm still pooping anywhere from three to six times a day and not being able to empty myself fully. Does anybody have any suggestions of how to change my diet because this has been going on for weeks now. I see my doctor on November 18th for my annual checkup, but any suggestions before then would be highly appreciated. :)
The old joke, how does a mathematician cures constipation? He works it out with a pencil

The NHS in the UK says -

Make changes to your diet

To make your poo softer and easier to pass:

1 - eat a healthy balanced diet and include fruits that contain sorbitol such as apples, apricots, grapes (and raisins), raspberries and strawberries

2 drink plenty of water and other fluids and avoid alcohol

3 - gradually increase the fibre in your diet

4 - add some wheat bran, oats or linseed to your diet

Well, I got my doctor's appointment coming up on Monday. I've still been having enough prunes and drinking enough water but now even though I'm still going, my stool samples are super tiny so I might need to get a colonoscopy done or something.

Oh I also was just thinking about the fact that the doctor might put me on Laxatives too. I would actually prefer that over a colonoscopy.

Colonoscopies aren’t that bad. They put you out, do the job, and you wake up refreshed as if nothing happened at all.

Besides, you should have one every so many years as part of a health routine.

Well ironically that's very caring of you. I'm only 34 though and I don't think that's expected until I'm older. Anyways I'll take anything right about now to figure this out as it took me all day to completely empty myself out. I'm hoping that an extra glass of water might possibly help me too.

Well I'm have three glasses of water now and two stool softeners. It currently seems to be doing better but I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow.
