I think Nauta and DeOliveira have a point.

'Unprecedented criminal effort': What Trump's lawyers say is in Jack Smith's draft report

While Trump is no longer being prosecuted by Smith, his two former co-defendants in the classified documents case have argued they would be unable to have a fair trial if the findings are released publicly. Lawyers for Walt Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira have claimed that the report would reveal sensitive grand jury material -- such as communications obtained via a subpoena -- and support the finding that "everyone Smith charged is guilty of the crimes charged."

Here's the solution, drop the charges against the two MAGAist stooges and then release the report. My understanding (from hearing a legal analyst speak on TV, no link) is Smith has testimonial evidence pertaining to trump's plans for what he was going do with the classified docs. Speculating here.......but perhaps knowledge of those plans hastened the DoJ's desire for getting the docs back and thus the reason for the subpoena to search MAL.

The report may also have info pertaining to Kash Patel's involvement in the case. Info I'm sure senators would like to know before Patel's confirmation hearings. Hearings Dotard tried to avoid.

Trump adviser Kash Patel has appeared before grand jury in Mar-a-Lago document probe

Kash Patel, a top adviser to former President Donald Trump who has been deeply involved in disputes over classified records Trump kept from his presidency, appeared recently before the federal grand jury looking into the handling of documents at Mar-a-Lago, sources familiar with the matter tell CNN.

Patel spent several hours throughout the morning of October 13 before a grand jury at the US courthouse in Washington, DC. But it’s not clear if Patel answered the grand jury’s questions or declined to respond citing his Fifth Amendment protections, which is within his rights.

Senators need, or at least Dem senators need, access to his testimony as part of their preparation for questioning during the confirmation hearings.

What do you fail to understand about grand jury testimony being secret?

.

Merrick Garland figures he's already destroyed what reputation he had, so might as well go all in.

Any report allows NO REBUTTAL. IOW, it s is a work of fiction written by a corrupt officer.

Petty, small minded tools like you have been dying for years to say that phrase, haven't you?
Just a statement of sad fact. Many have been saying for a long time. I had been referring to him as guilty of 34 felonies, involved with paying off porn stars for sex, while his wife was still nursing his son. Sounds kind of sleazy for the President-Elect, doesn't it? But, now it is official. He is a convicted felon on all 34 counts. But, don't be sad. If you want your convicted felon, you voted for, you can keep your convicted felon, you voted for. He is Number #1. The first convicted felon to ever be president. Big win for MAGA. Enjoy.

Yes...The sad fact that you're a petty, small minded tool.

34 charges for one single transaction is beyond fucking absurd...And you are a fucking absurdity for believing in its legitimacy.
I guess it is all about what you are in favor of. If you want your convicted felon, you can keep your convicted felon.

Another petty, small minded response.

You don't GAF about anything other than hanging the tag of "convicted felon" on the evil Orange Man...34 counts for the same transaction?...Go for it!

Both Rand and Orwell severely underestimated how base and callow that you bootlicking statist scumbags are.

Just being accurate. Do you deny the truth of fact, being convicted in a court of law, found guilty by a jury of his peers, his personally hand-picked defense lawyers and prosecution lawyers having been allowed to show evidence to that jury (that his lawyer got to help pick), the jury weighing the evidence? Then, after the finding of guilt by that jury, a judge in good standing pronounced and recorded the conviction on all counts? You and I were not on that jury. It is up to us, as citizens, to support court action, until overturned by a higher court. President-Elect Trump, even appealed to the Supreme Court, to avoid sentencing, rejecting 5-4 that appeal, Chief Justice Roberts supporting the majority.

Why does it matter to you? Nothing, you were not aware of was in play, and since he is to be President in 10 days, no penalty extracted, upon his guilty verdict convictions. That court, even held off on sentencing, so as not to effect the November election. What reality do you reject?

No...You're being the petty, small minded fucking tool that you are, no matter how many words you use to flimsily conceal the fact.

This has nothing to do with Trump taking office or not....Only a hopelessly stupid and small minded party man tool can't recognize that.

Quit whining. He was convicted as everybody, but you knew he would be. Get over it.
Isn't his winning the presidency, everything you thought it would be?

Yes. Kash did testify — which is why the government was aware of the contention that Trump had (before leaving Office) DECLASSIFIED the documents he was holding on to.

But scumbag Smith blithely proceeded to seek an indictment all the same.

The election proved that the majority of voters believe democrats committed lawfare against Trump. In fact, a CNN poll showed that out of the voters whose number one reason for voting was to save democracy, 58% voted for Trump. Have democrats learned anything from that? Of course not.
