Judge Cannon Blocks Release of Jack Smith’s Final Report on Trump Lawfare Cases

No, this is the Department of Justice. It is not supposed to be political, it is designed in such a way as to prevent that.

Biden’s legacy will be a life of incompetence, theft, and lying…..Justthe right kind of dirtbag for you eh? :laughing0301:
Trump’s legacy is proving the nation has a lot of people in it willing to ignore reality for an emotional benefit.

Good job. You guys proved that reality is no match for your cult.

What a sad and scary world you live in. Mean old federal government, one that writes false reports. But it is not the federal government, Congressional committees write all kinds of false reports. You should see some of the shit that has come out over the last several years.

No, this is the Department of Justice. It is not supposed to be political, it is designed in such a way as to prevent that. But it is Trump, and Republicans, that have almost obsessed over removing the safeguards that are in place. For what?

To protect a mentally ill, ASPD, moron. Did he take the documents? Why yes, no one is saying he didn't. Did he try to hid the documents? Yes again, no one is contesting that reality. Did he have a right to take the documents? There, there is the argument. I will contend that he did not.

At this point, Trump claiming the government is out to get him is like the boy that cried "Wolf". Could it happen? Sure it could, maybe once, maybe twice. But good God Almighty, not half a dozen damn times. How difficult is it to see that?

But here is the kicker. Trump and the Republican attacks against the Department of Justice will eventually eliminate one of the most important protections against despotism the founders established. Already they have stated a clear intent to do what they are claiming has been done to Trump. They are going to weaponize the Department of Justice.
Is Trump president, why yes he is.

Is Trump president, yes he is. America is Trump's jury.
The American people find Trump not guilty.

NO, Trump is not president at the moment, and no, Trump was not president when those classified documents were found at Mar-a-lago.

As to the American people finding Trump not guilty, delusional. Last I checked a guilty verdict, or a proclamation of innocence, require a unanimous vote. You might could argue it was jury nullification, but that, too, requires a unanimous vote.

Look, I don't know how hard it is to understand. An innocent person doesn't immediately jump to a "they are out to get me" defense. That is what a guilty person does.

Former President Trump was not charge for finding the documents at Mar A Lago.

As the President Biden and Chief Executive of the country he can do anything he want's. That's what y'all said about Trump. So as the President he's the head of the Department DOJ.

Since he has Presidential Immunity for official acts he can release the report as President (and official act) and there is nothing that can be done.

Watch what you ask for you just might get it.

The Stalinist Struggle is REAL with this ASSHOLE ^^^^

Trump can't be prosecuted by the DOJ so there is no legal "presumption of innocence" which applies only to criminal court cases. The public is free to make their own determinations.

Can the presumption of innocence be extended to other cases? Must the government prove its claims in court?

"Presumption of Innocence" is a legal concept applicable to criminal court proceedings.

There is no requirement that the pubic at large adhere to "Presumption of Innocence".

For example Trump is a convicted felon under New York State law, he no longer has "Presumption of Innocence" for his crimes.

Trump also committed Espionage under 18 U.S.C. 793(e) in the documents case. From a legal perspective he has a "Presumption of Innocence" in court proceedings, I as a member of the general public am not under that limitation.

Oh good, a legal expert. Could you help me with the term (not to go off topic here) "felon", "convicted felon" and "unconvicted felon"? Thanks in advance.

Does one become a felon by committing a felony, or only when one is convicted of a felony?

Of course. And that is just it. You got the presumption of innocence. You have the beyond reasonable doubt. It really is telling, immediately going for the "they are out to get me defense" screams guilty.
There is also "the preponderance of the evidence" standard. Which applies here?
